Which one you choose: a strategy facilitator or designer?

If you need help to innovate & drive growth in business.

Businesses often fail to distinguish between the two.

Hire a strategy facilitator to solve business challenges.

My take on facilitator in this case:

- Teams are bombarded with frameworks.
- Workshops are conducted with low impact.
- Brainstorming sessions turn into theatre.

A facilitator guides in solving, innovating, and creating.
Pass responsibility to the team, providing them tools.

Remember:
Team lacks in-depth practice, which won’t deliver results.

On the other hand, I am a strategy designer:

* I act as the lead and a maker.
* I dive deep into the challenge.
* I understand, ask, and analyze.

Co-create with the team, responsible for delivery, and push teams to provide information.

Scenarios when to hire a facilitator:

1. Train and equip your team with innovation tools.
2. Experienced team needs guidance and assistance.

Seek help that fits your current state.

There’s a difference between handing you the tool and holding it for you to do the work.
