Why shared-interest socializing sucks, idea-based connections are better?

I’ve tried shared-interest, and it just led to weak connections and surface-level conversations.

The discussion never really goes anywhere deeper into other directions.

If you think you should connect with someone just because you share interests like:

Liking the same music

Having the same hobby

Loving the same food

You’re wrong!

These are desires, not based on perspective, intellect, or mindset. You fail to make strong connections with people when you approach it from this angle.

99% of people believe the best connections are based on interests. But shared interests form a group, not a true connection.

A real connection is like a knot in a network, where everyone loves interacting with it.

Are you still looking for people who share the same interests? Not for me. I want new angles and perspectives to learn from and build stronger ties.

By the way, Toilet Mind is my baby project. A fun and entertaining way to connect.
