Discovery and exploration connected the world

1 min readApr 22, 2025

While you create your own business ambiguity.

You ignore the wind of change:
- Blaming big waves for the diminishing landscape.
- Heading straight into all of that “without a compass.”

Literally “lost in a whirlwind”

How is a business supposed to innovate by guessing?

You’re 100% relying on ‘’luck,’’ not on a designed strategy.

Businesses that skip creating a compass have a 90% failure rate (CB Insights).

It’s easier for me to create a compass for a business project than for life itself.

1. Run a discovery sprint.
2. Interview the impacted audience.
3. Empathize to learn about their needs.
4. Visualize details in a map to see the moving parts.
5. Identify and link priorities, barriers, and blockers.
6. Create opportunities that address their needs.
7. Ensure it delivers what audience and business desire.

That’s your compass to cross any whirlwind. It will save you “tons” of time and costs.

Airbnb pivoted from renting air mattresses to global stays after discovery interviews saved them in 2008.

The Age of Discovery rewarded explorers with maps.

Move with intentional discovery to create your own compass — because business is “not static” entity.

P.S. Do you use Google Map or Sign Roads to get to your destination?
