Design with reason — a new process
#Design with reason is a new approach I propose. Use #reason when designing, you only can make up your reason when you have #facts, events, and a sense of judgment.
What is the reason?
The power of the mind to think, understand, and form judgments by a process of logic. The reason here is not an assumption.
The reasoning process comes before the research process when observing the life cycle of product or problem, there is a good chance to determine gaps/pains in which a good designer could form a judgment and initiate the design concept solution.
This method sets designers ahead of the research process, so the research process can be done faster. I believe in some cases, you could just roll out to testing. Reasoning and forming a judgment save time in agile projects.
For example, one grocery shopping problem is long waits as we can see the frustrations so why would a designer take the research process and interviewing people when one can see the life cycle of the process and could initiate sketching solutions.
Here, I call for the reasoning process, is to think with the logic of a solution that can lead to design a concept and jump to testing and learning.
