Are you surrounded by a crab mentality?
It drags you down emotionally than any challenge.
It’s real in how crabs behave in a bucket…
- If one crab tries to escape a bucket,
- the others will pull it back down
- instead of letting it climb out.
Some discourage you out of fear of being left behind.
Common in workplaces, social circles, or communities.
I’ve witnessed it when I switched careers, moved to a new country, or tried to start something.
I’ve seen it at the innovation level within the same company.
When one team presents creative, tested ideas, others resist out of insecurity.
If you’re surrounded by crabs:
1. Set boundaries with negative individuals.
2. Detach from those who hold you back.
3. Spend time with those who uplift you.
4. Be selective about what you share.
What others say to you triggers emotions that influence your decisions in your next career move, project idea, or business.
What slows down your progress isn’t what you encounter,
but what others say about “what you will encounter.”
Are your ideas being resisted by crabs?
